Terms of Service

1. What this is

hiremepls.lol ("the site", "we") is a public leaderboard. People list themselves with a name, a line about themselves and links to a CV, portfolio or LinkedIn, and pay a bid to decide their position. The list is ordered by bid, highest first. Bidding buys placement on a web page and nothing else: not a job, not an introduction, not a promise that anyone will read it.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract where you live. You may only list yourself. Listing a company, a product, a service or another person is not allowed. By using the site you accept these terms and the rules, which are part of them.

3. Bids and deposits

• A bid is a payment for placement. New entries need at least $5; adding to an existing entry needs at least $1. Amounts are in US dollars; crypto is converted at the rate quoted when the payment page is opened, stablecoins count at $1, and what arrives on-chain is what counts.
• A bid is held as a deposit while no later bid exceeds your entry's total. The first time a later bid exceeds it, 95% of each deposit you hold becomes payable back to you, less the card processor's fee or the network fee of sending it. 4% is spent on promoting the profiles on the board and 1% on running the site. Your entry keeps its place and its displayed total.
• Card returns go to the card that paid. Crypto returns go to the payout address you entered on the payment page, or to the address the payment came from if you entered none. We cannot recover money sent to an exchange deposit address, a contract or a wrong network; entering a payout address is your responsibility.
• Returns are made as soon as practical, normally within a few days of the outbid. Transactions on public blockchains are irreversible; we are not responsible for delays or losses caused by networks, wallets, exchanges or processors.
• Apart from the return described above, bids are final. Being outbid, changing your mind, or having your entry removed for breaking the rules does not create a right to a refund. Deposits of entries removed for breaking the rules are forfeited.
• Unmatched payments (a different amount, no memo) are held until they can be matched by hand. Write to us with the transaction link.
• This is not an investment, a security, a game of chance or a financial product. The only money you can get back is part of your own bid. You are responsible for any tax on money you receive.

4. Your content

• Everything you enter except your email and payout address is public by design, including to search engines and to anyone who shares it.
• You keep the rights to your content and give us a licence to show it on the site, in share pictures, and in promotion of the board for as long as your entry exists.
• Nothing illegal, nothing that impersonates someone, no harassment, no content you do not have the right to publish. We may edit, hide or remove any entry and refuse any bid, with or without notice.

5. Accounts, edit links, security

There are no accounts. Your entry is controlled by an edit link shown once after your first payment. Anyone with the link can change your entry; keep it private. Anyone can add money to any entry; only the edit link can change what it says.

6. Availability and liability

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may be down, change or close. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with the site is limited to the amount of your bids in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost opportunities, lost profits or indirect damage.

7. Changes

We may change these terms, the fees and the split. Changes apply to bids made after they are published. Material changes are announced on the site.

8. Contact
